Client

A company involved in the sale, rental, and repair of motorhomes in Sardinia, Italy. The client approached us for a technical audit and to develop a plan for optimizing and promoting their website in the local Sardinia market. An important feature of the business is its seasonality, giving us only six months to prepare the website for the peak season and increase visibility and organic traffic. Another challenge was budget constraints, so we needed to maximize results with minimal funding.

Result

First, a technical audit of the website was conducted. Based on its findings, a list of tasks was agreed upon and passed to the developers for resolution. As a result, we were able to fix the most critical issues and achieve a Health Score of 98 according to Ahrefs.

The website had never been worked on from an SEO perspective, so right after addressing all major technical issues, we proceeded with basic SEO optimization. As a result, the site began to gradually rank for low- and medium-frequency queries.

Technical Audit

The technical audit revealed a range of issues with varying degrees of severity, including problems with the indexing of specific pages, an abundance of technical pages and duplicates in the index, low website loading speed—especially on mobile devices—duplicate H1 headers on pages, unfilled metadata, broken links, and non-functioning third-party scripts. A complete list of errors was compiled, prioritized, and assigned to the developers for resolution.

Initial Optimization

We conducted keyword collection and clustering, prepared metadata for the promoted pages, and implemented it on the site. We also prepared and integrated technical files such as sitemap.xml and robots.txt, analyzed and configured Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and more. Texts for the main landing pages were prepared and handed over to copywriters.

Building a Strategy for Further Website Promotion

Alongside this, we analyzed competitors for key queries in the top 10 and built a strategy for improving and updating specific pages and sections of the site for its further development. This includes implementing a full WooCommerce setup to display information about vehicles for sale in card format, adding filtering and sorting options. We also planned to expand the section on maintenance and repair of campers, which is one of the priority services, especially during the off-season.

Growth of Organic Traffic

Organic traffic has shown consistent growth throughout all months of work on the site, aided by addressing page indexing issues and working on the uniqueness and optimization of existing content. Due to budget constraints, all resource-intensive tasks requiring external specialists were scheduled over time for the client’s convenience.

We faced a challenging task—conducting a comprehensive optimization and promotion of the website within a limited budget and demonstrating results within six months, and we succeeded. The site now ranks for over 300 keywords in Google and maintains stable positions in its geographic area. Another difficulty was working in Italian, but we managed this as well, receiving positive feedback and readiness for further collaboration from the client.
